You know me: I was that kid you knew who liked to take things apart, occasionally with a hammer. Unfortunately, I wasn't as successful at putting them together again. For this reason, I became a scientist (PhD) instead of a physician (MD). I'm currently working as a microbiologist at a medical center in Dallas, researching bacterial pathogenesis. I've made several attempts in the past to maintain a blog with at least a semblance of regularity, and I have high hopes that this time I'll actually succeed.
PS - I eventually got the hang of putting things together again, but found it lacked the mystery of discovering what makes something tick (sometimes literally)
